“ I happened to go to Castro Valley Marketplace today. I walked by and The sushi at Akemi looked fresh. The young lady at tge front said hello and asked if I had any questions about Akemi. I asked about the eel and some rolls. She was courteous and I ordered some delicious madetoorder sushi. The chef was prompt, professional in attire, and just as courteous as the young lady in front. I tasted the dragon roll. Delicious. Fresh. Beautifully presented. Ill be back soon! Nice experience with courteous polite service and delicious fresh sushi Excellent! ”
“ They have probably the best quality sushi roll Ive had. Their toro roll that has fresh toro, avocado, and asparagus was absolutely fantastic. Their lion king roll was also delicious. The freshness and quality of their rolls is great. Its a little bit more expensive than other sushi places but I think the quality and service definitely is why. Its just gooooood. ”
“ Great sushi! Customer service was awesome! Complementary Yuzu Panna Cotta! Love this place, new number 1 sushi spot in the Castro Valley area! ”
“ I checked out this Marketplace in Castro Valley for the first time and Im impressed with the cleanliness of it and the variety of foodsdesserts they offer. For lunch, I ordered the Dragon and Lion King rolls, and i love it so much coz they put real crab meat and not imitation crab. Also, the service is great! Ill definitely be back! ”
“ If you live around Castro Valley, San Leandro, or Hayward and want a delicious Lion King roll, please come by here and try theirs. The best Ive had so far in my life. I also love their Truffle Blue fin roll, their ikura and Hotate Nigiri. Awesome price and fresh ingredients! TBH, its kinda like a hidden ! ”
“ Simply the best sushi around. Incredibly fresh fish, gorgeously prepared nigiri and if preferred, there are specialty rolls that hit just right. Weve been coming here for years and are so so thankful we have a high end, quality sushi spot here in CV! ”
“ The outdoor seating is really nice and away from the traffic. Almost all the sushi rolls have avocado but not too much. The nigiri was a little on the small side but provided a good burst of flavor. No other sides, which might be nice to have with the sushi butt thats ok. Would like to try the sashimi and see if it has crisp edges. ”
“ Best sushi in the Bay Area hands down. Dont let the little hole in the wall grocery store vibe fool you. ”
